The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and Graco are recalling 1.2 million “Harmony” (also “Harmony-TM”) high chairs because they pose a fall hazard to young children.
A statement from the CPSC said that “screws holding the front legs of the high chair can loosen and fall out” and that cracking plastic brackets can cause the high chair to “tip over unexpectedly.” So far, 24 reports of injuries include bumps and bruises to the head, a hairline fracture to the arm and cuts, bumps and bruises and scratches to the body.”
The recall is for all models of the Harmony high chair, which is no longer sold in stores. If you have a Graco Harmony high chair (or Graco Harmony-TM high chair), stop using it immediately and contact Graco for a free repair kit at 877-842-3206 or online at the Graco Website.
