I may be in tropical paradise right now, but don’t get me wrong — I’ve been doing A LOT of traveling, and that is murder on the skin.
As the temperatures drop outside, the itching and scratching of dry skin begins. Not only is dry skin uncomfortable, but it can also be pricey to keep up with the latest moisturizing trends.
Fancy salons can get expensive though, but the truth is all it takes are a few pantry staples to create a moisturizing and exfoliating facial scrub.
Check out this Honey Almond Scrub — it’s sure to help exfoliate and moisturize dry, winter skin (or mine…which is just plain CONFUSED.)
* 8 whole unblanched almonds
* 2 Tablespoons rolled oats, uncooked
* 1 Tablespoon honey
* 2 teaspoons yogurt, sour cream or lightly beaten egg white
Process almonds and oats in a blender until they are finely ground. In a small bowl, mix ground almonds and oats, honey and yogurt until blended. Pat scrub on face and neck; leave it on for up to 10 minutes for extra softening. Wet your hands and massage gently to exfoliate. Rinse off.
Tell me how your skin feels when you are done!
