superbowlparty 300x199 Super Bowl Recipes: Party Snack IdeasChips, dip, little pigs in blankets — finger food is the stuff Super Bowl parties are made of.  We already ran down our basic Super Bowl food ideas — and now here are some tasty, easy Super Bowl snack recipes to serve when the Colts take on the Saints this afternoon!

First, make sure you’ve got the basics: potato chips, tortilla chips, vegetable crudites and salsa. We’ve got a couple of simple chip and vegetable dip recipes below and other ideas for super bowl food and snacks to prep and and be set before the big game.

7 Layer Guacamole Dip Recipe

- 2 cans of bean dip
- 1 cup onion (chopped)
- 1 1/2 cups guacamole (see recipe below)
- Sour cream dip (see recipe below)
- 2 cup fresh plum tomatoes (chopped)
- 6 ounces black olives (chopped)
- 8 ounces cheddar cheese (shredded)

So easy — just layer the ingredients above in the order listed in a glass bowl. Top it off with shredded cheese and serve!

Mexicali Sour Cream Dip Recipe

- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 packet taco seasoning

Mix all the ingredients together, chill for 15 – 20 minutes and serve!

Best Guacamole Recipe

* 3 Haas avocados, halved, seeded and peeled
* 1 lime, juiced
* 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
* 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
* 1/2 teaspoon cayenne
* 1/2 medium onion, diced
* 2 Roma tomatoes, seeded and diced
* 1 tablespoon chopped cilantro
* 1 clove garlic, minced

In a large bowl place the scooped avocado pulp and lime juice, toss to coat. Drain, and reserve the lime juice, after all of the avocados have been coated. Using a potato masher add the salt, cumin, and cayenne and mash. Then, fold in the onions, tomatoes, cilantro, and garlic. Add 1 tablespoon of the reserved lime juice. Let sit at room temperature for 1 hour and then serve.

Loaded Pigs In Blanket Recipe

* 1 (11-ounce) package refrigerated breadsticks
* 1 tablespoon whole grain mustard
* 1 tablespoon hot chili sauce
* 1 tablespoon cream cheese
* 1 dill or sweet pickle, cut into small strips
* 1 slice Cheddar, cut into small pieces
* 1/4 red bell pepper, cut into small strips
* 1 scallion, cut into thin slices
* 1 tablespoon bacon bits
* 1 (14-ounce) package beef cocktail franks
* 1 egg, lightly beaten

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.

Open the breadsticks package and spread each flat on a cutting board. Cut each breadstick into thirds, crosswise, and roll out or stretch each piece until they are about 2 1/2-inches long.

Onto the center of each breadstick piece, put a small dab of mustard, chili sauce, cream cheese, a few pieces of pickle, Cheddar, red pepper, and scallion or bacon bits. Place a frank just next to the ingredients and roll the breadstick completely around the frank and filling. Brush the “stuffed pigs” with some egg wash and top each with a small bit of the filling that is inside. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake until golden brown, about 11 to 13 minutes. Serve warm.
