Gloss How-To: Create A Modern Thanksgiving Table

With Thanksgiving less than a weeks away, we turned to Jennifer Sbranti from HostesswiththeMostess.com for her tips for a gorgeous holiday table.  Stylish and fun, her ideas are also easy — perfect for hectic holiday schedules!

Instead of a “singular centerpiece”, create a beautiful multiple-arrangement table display. Set out one or more tall arrangements displayed in large trumpet vases, accented by several smaller arrangements  displayed in everyday glass stemware or inexpensive bud vases.

Look for interesting shapes in plates — like these comma plates from cb2 that give the illusion of fall leaves.

Simply adding colorful flowers can dress up the table. We love these orange and yellow mums Jennifer chose for this table.

Apple Placecards: I LOVE this idea — simple and chic. Use small green apples (real or faux) as “place cards” for your table settings. Write each guest’s name on a paper leaf.
