What do Urban Space and the Madison Square Park Conservancy have in common? For the second year in a row, they have joined forces to present their upscale outdoor market, Mad. Sq. Mark’t. Held from Saturday, September 25 through Saturday, October 23 at historic Madison Square Park, the market will include over 60 merchants selling local, hand-made and unique items and will include a central “Food Square” at Worth Square featuring a variety of multi-ethnic local food purveyors.
Urban Space selected all Mad. Sq. Mark’t vendors to offer shoppers the best independent New York designers, boutiques, and chefs the city has to offer. From the same team that brought you the Holiday Markets at Union Square and Columbus Circle, Mad. Sq. Mark’t will be home to clothing, pottery, jewelry, kid-friendly products, home, gift items, accessories and much more, while the Food Square will boast Fatty Crab & Fatty ‘Cue, Hill Country Barbecue, Roberta’s Pizza and ilili.
This year’s free event activities at Madison Square Park include Mad. Sq. Music: The Studio Series concerts on September 11, 18, 25 and October 2 and 9 as well as the Mad. Sq. Park Fall Kids Fest on October 16. Kids Fest will feature fun activities for all ages alongside special youth-oriented deals and coupons for parents at the Mad. Sq. Mark’t.
Mad. Sq. Mark’t is located at Madison Square Park spanning the west side of the Park, within full view of the iconic Flatiron Building. The Mark’t is easily accessible by public transportation and offers the perfect spot for local residents, workers, and tourists seeking one-of-a-kind local gifts and wares, and delicious food and drink.
