Pringles Recall: Chips May Contain Salmonella

email

pringles 300x226 Pringles Recall: Chips May Contain SalmonellaFollowing a recall of dozens of products containing food additive HVP last week, Procter & Gamble has issued a Pringles recall of chips that may also have been contaminated with salmonella. The Pringles recall is only for two flavors of the popular potato chips: Restaurant Cravers Cheeseburger and Family Faves Taco Night.

HVP — or hydrolyzed vegetable protein — is an flavor additive found in many soup mixes and dips. Basic Foods Flavors in Las Vegas recalled more than 90 products after HVP used in their flavorings tested positive for salmonella.

If you have purchased the recalled Pringles products, throw them away and call Procter & Gamble at 1-877-876-7881 for a replacement coupon or refund.
